Hi all, we have wonderful weather here today. I got called in and so I took Karady strollin and took her with. She loved it. I put on her new purple coat from her BM. Which by the way we had a visit with yesteday. She is doing good. Tammi went to Bismarck with me for company. We always have a great time. She had an eyeopening experience. NOlan couldn't leave town because ROger is gone. Karady is doing good. She is 20 p0ounds and 29 1/2 inches. 95% across the board. She is saying up, not sure if that is short for pup or what. She went scrapbooking with me until her daddy was done with his class. She had a good time. Plays very well and everyone enjoyed seeing her. Nolan said she went right to sleep when she got home, and slept until 8. SHe loves to laugh at herself. She continues to kneel by stuff, and soon she will be pulling herself up. She still continues to scoot all over the place instead of crawl, but she is still quick. She also says Mama most of the time. alternating with dada and up. Also baba.
Well heres to a wonderful day with my family.

Movin Down
Well it was a sad, sad day in our house today. I broke down and had to move the crib mattress down quite a few notches. I would not move it to the last hole, so I settled for the second to last one. Then I stood her in her crib with the side rail up, and that seems to be good. She would have to be superwomen to get out now. It means my baby is getting bigger. I remember thinking last summer what the winter would be like, and what she would be doing, and how fun it was going to be. She has exceeded my expectations, and when she lays her head on my chest when she is tired, my heart warms. I cannot imagine never being able to experience these things. Damn, now I need a tissue. Water works.
We played on the floor tonight after her bath and played clean up, clean up. That was of course after her bath. She was in the tub and somehow flopped forward onto her stomach, and then disrtessingly cried out "Ma ma ma ma". I believe that is a first. She must know her mama will help her out in a pinch. I also accidentally scratched her in the head also tonight,( yea I know way to go), and she did it again. She also says UP, but just randomly.
In my earlier post I forgot to mention the very cute bunny welcome sign I got from Cassie and Kameron. Thanks guys!! I love that stuff!!
We heard Carrington Ambulance rolled by mile marker 331 on I94 near Casselton about 3 am this morning. It had rained and they were transporting a patient that was not doing well. It was icey and I am sure they were in a hurry, and they rolled 2 times. The patient did not make it and the Paramedic in the back is having spine issues from the waist down, but does have some feeling. He is in MN getting rods put in his spine. Pray for him and his crew, and the patient please. That is oh so scarey to think about flying around in the back of a rig as it rolls. WE have had a few close calls with ours, such as going in the ditch and Nolan also required stitches because the driver had to stop fast, and he flew against the cabinets. Gettysburg, SD rolled one near Linton quite a few years ago, and we responded to them, and I remember feeling the dread of losing a patient because of an accident.
Speaking of crappy roads, anyone who has to travel tomorrow please be careful. WE are in the 5 to 8 inch area. I hope this is the last storm. It wouldn't be so bad if I could stay home, but I am out of vacation, and the hospital is always open.
Well it is late. Karady went to bed at 10:30 again, and now is my turn.

Post Birthday
Thank you to everyone the birthday wishes. I had a wonderful day with family, and eating, and great gifts. I got a new bag for my cricut, 2 certificats to the salon, money, a Target Gift card, and Nolan plopped Karady down on my lap and said Happy Birhthday, here is your gift. I laughed and said, Oh the gift that keeps giving. How true. Oh and today I got a beach towel from pam, which I needed because Karady does not have one yet.
The weather is frightful outside, and more to come I hear. Hope all of you have safe travel today. The end is near, but you can't see it, because there is a blizzard right now.
Did I mention I hate the time change. NOt so much when I didn't have kids, but defiantely now. How do you get a 9 month old to go to bed on time when it is not that time. SHe was up until 10:30 new time last night. Makes for a short night for both of us.
I stocked up on fruits and veges in Bismarck yesterday. All canned. No baby food. She protests baby food any more, and I won't fight with her. She is a very independent eater. I just hope she is getting enough to eat when she feeds herself. Last night on top of fruit and veges, she ate a whole piece of toast, minus a few pieces in the seat of her high chair.
Well lunch time.

More Milestones at 9 months.
It was a pretty uneventful long day, except I noticed that LuLU had cut through her upper right lateral incisor. That would be the one next to your middle tooth and your eye tooth. I think it is an odd place to break one through without the middles, but I guess they have a mind of their own, as does my darling daughter any more.
She was up until 10:30 tonight. I finally held her with her nook and she finally went down. I had tried numerous times to put her in her crib by herself, but each time she would be sitting up and crying and her nook would be tossed across the room. Another new trick of hers. So I would take her out and hand her off to her dad. Yes it is time to move the mattress down a few notches, because she has shown great interest in pulling herself up. I don't want her taking a header out of the crib.
Today she actually crawled a little bit, instead of scooted. She had a wonderful day at Daycare and is so well taken care of there. She is eating all sorts of new foods like ham, noodles, pudding and cottage cheese. I won't be buying baby food anymore because she is very independent when she eats.
Well I have to pack for scrapbooking tomorrow. She has Amber coming to watch her, and Nolan has class. Then we will go to Bismarck for my birthday and eat chinese.

Snow Baby
BH - Before Header and happy.
Notice to the left all the snow on her suit.
It was a beautiful day here today. As I was driving home from Daycare the Scrapbooking in me said hey, let's go outside and take some snow pictures. SO I bundled LuLU up in her little fleece snowsuit and grabbed a blanket and the camera of course. I dug the sled out of the snow bank and put her in it. I placed the sled on a slope and poor LuLu did a header into the snow. She did not like that. When I told Nolan about it he asked if I took pictures of it, and I said no I wasn't that mean to leave her face buried in the snow, while I snapped pictures. So I thought, hey let pull the sled a little. She hasn't quite figured out she needs to hang yet, and she did another header into the snow. Poor girl.!! So I put her on her blanket and onto the snow. Then I put a little snow in her hand and she tasted it. She made such a funny face. Then she was getting tired, so we went in. I got some great shots. We are in the shadow of the house, so I didn't have to worry about the sun.
We started meats on Tuesday. LuLU was at Tammi's and Charlie was eating deli ham, so I gave her some, and she did well. She is becoming very independent with her eating, and does excellent with the sippy cup.
I got a call from SUe from the Village in Fargo, and the BM is wanting a visit. SO next Friday we will go and see her after Karady's Dr's appointment.
I will post pictures later tonight of our snow escapades. We had a lot of fun!!!

A little more Every Day
Nolan had a Dr's apptoinment for his ear on Thursday. Last year Fiectner suggested going to Minneapolis to see a specialist. Nothing was every persued. This year Nolan asked about it again, and come to find out Fiectner forgot to set it up last year. WE are scheduled to travel the end of April for a consult and surgery. I haven't been there for quite a few years. I am looking forward to going outlet shopping for Karady. It will be a nice little vacation for our family. And best of all Nolan has the chance to improve his hearing from 40% to 75% in his right ear.
We had a wonderful weekend with the Sannes'. It went by much too fast. Got like 5 pages scrapbooked, and ate some great food. Tammi I had 2 helpings of Ziti for supper SUnday, it really is good. The boys had lots of fun with the boys, and she was very good.
She is getting very independent with her eating. It is such a nightmare to try to feed her baby food lately. She picks up food so well herself, I try to give her more and more chunked food she can feed herself. She cruises along pretty well by scooting around. She also gets on her knees a lot and I am sure soon she will be standing.
She went back to regular Daycare today. She had a little anxiety, but she did well. She got a cute little dress from JoAnn, direct from Hawaii. Joann thought she had grown, and was amazed at how well she gets around.
LuLu is cutting the right eyetooth know. I think that is quite odd that she wouldn't cut the ones in the middle first, but I guess it is not unusual. So of course she has a snotty nose and her cheeks and nose are bright red.
We are planning a day in Bismarck to celebrate my birthday on Sunday. We will probably meet my parents and go out to eat. 37 already, what a year. LuLU will be 9 months on Friday. She has spent as much time outside, as she did inside her BM.
WEll TTFN, john and kate are coming on.

And again
Well it seems we got LOTS of white stuff again here today. I opened the door out of the house, well barely got it open, and I was met by a 2 foot high drift. Luckily I had the truck to take Karady out to daycare, because the streets in town are full. Stupid me, I thought, you know I should have a cell phone with me, because I could easily get stuck from here to here.
Karady slept from 6:30 last night, until 6:30 this morning. She had a big day yesterday I guess, all that art work. Nolan said it was from the marker fumes. I didn't even give her her bath, so there a few remnant green marks on her hand from yesterday escapades. She amazes me with how fast she gets around now. I rolled her piggy bank money yesterday and got well over $150. I need to do something with it. I would like to put it in a college savings fund, but with the market the way it is, I would be better off sticking it under her crib.
Nolan took off the Fireman's convention today, leaving me with the car. We have come up with a back up plan in case the roads don't get plowed by 5. I plan to pack tonight for my weekend getaway across town. Going to load up the kids (dogs included) and stay at the Sannes', because I am on call and alone with LULU. We have wonderful food planned, scrapbooking, and maybe a facial. Note to self, don't forget my collection of chick flicks. I can run home if I do forget something, that is if they plow the streets. Maybe we can get in a game of Dominoes. The Pleinis' may come over Saturday to learn if they are not too tired from moving, if that is OK with the Sannes', another note to self, talk to Tammi about this.
Pray that Nolan gets to bismarck OK, the Plienis' get moved, and everyone is safe on the ugly roads and winter weather today. I heard we may get a repeat of 96 in March. Hopefully it is not the weekend I have planned for my scrapbooking retreat.
well TTFN.
